I was born In New York, New York and grew up in Brooklyn. I did not go to college for design but was instead almost entirely trained by reading design texts, hundreds of hours of online courses and hands-on professional experience.
2011-2016 I worked exclusively as the in-house designer for a non-profit in Los Angeles called IAS Administrations. I handled their magazine, mailings, postcards, fliers, t-shirts, invitations, and every other promo piece imaginable.
My duties also included a working knowledge of printing and the vast technical world it entails. For example, the magazine I worked on was printed on 60 lb gloss and only done in 20-page signatures to maximize paper-usage on the rolls purchased by my printer (and thereby the most cost-efficient option.)
I used foils on our covers for special editions, as well as metallic ink.
I also worked many events and photoshoots as the processor on-site, using a workflow starting from CaptureOne, to Camera Raw, to photoshop for final touches. On these events I would recieve a large number of shots straight from the photographers which I would select, retouch, and upload to an internet team for press release.
2017- I am currently working as a freelance designer with small brands using my experience in marketing to present them in the best possible light to their public.
