True & Olive is an up and coming skincare line. I was very excited to work on this as something of a skincare aficionado myself. They came to me with a logo they had hired another designer to create and the concepts for their product (being finalized).
I was happy with the logo they had and set to work creating the rest of the brand model - the voice, the visual aesthetic, all to communicate to their presumably millennial pubic. However, I decided to cast the net a just bit wider than that to appeal to women suffering from adult acne that may be in their later 30's—Such as the company's founder, Christine, who came up with the solution after developing horrible acne for the first time in her life at age 32.
I created a clean yet irreverent look for the website and then translated that same imagery to their packaging. Then I made 30 instagram sized posts for their social media account. It was there that I really worked out the "voice" of her campaign - that is, the tone and emotion conveyed to T&O's potential audience.
This was a fantastic project that I really enjoyed!
